Brittany Schmidt, MA-CCC/SLP is an American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) certified Speech Language Pathologist who has been working with and for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) for over 20 years. 13 of those years being spent as the director of the ASD Program at the University of South Dakota in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Brittany has been involved with all aspects of ASD programming including diagnostics, consultation and training for parents and service providers alike. Communication, verbal apraxia, creating communication alternatives for challenging behavior as well as the intervention strategies associated with the study of verbal behavior are all specific interest areas.
